Student Wellbeing

The Wellbeing Team at Canley Vale High School work collaboratively to promote and ensure that there is a whole school approach to wellbeing.

At CVHS, we ensure that our students are actively connected to their learning, have positive and respectful relationships and experience a sense of belonging to their school and community, are respected, valued, encouraged, supported and empowered to succeed. Our school’s vision is to grow and flourish, do well and thrive.

Student Wellbeing includes all things the school community does to meet the personal, social and learning needs of students.  The team utilises school-wide systems of support to establish a positive school climate where students are valued, and parents share in the education of their children as well as sharing in the responsibility of shaping their child’s understanding and attitudes about acceptable behaviour.

The core elements of Wellbeing and the vision for Wellbeing at CVHS, is to ensure that the following are achieved:

  • creating a safe environment
  • ensuring connectedness
  • engaging students in learning
  • promoting social and emotional learning

The CVHS Welfare Team embrace the ‘We Care’ culture when dealing with student wellbeing ensuring that every student is known, valued and cared for.
