Earlier this month 12 Year 11 Canley Vale High School students participated in the first learning from home online ABCN Digital Focus program in NSW.
The ABCN Program ‘Digital Focus’ is a program empowering young women by developing and preparing them for their careers in the future. The aim is to address the underrepresentation of women in senior roles in Australia.
CVHS joined this amazing program to help our young women develop their leadership skills, aspire to senior roles in business and gain a self-belief to encourage them to reach their highest potential in any career they choose. One of our students said, “The program was a great way to overcome our obstacles and to boost our self confidence in order to be self-aware and acknowledge our strengths and weaknesses to input that into being a leader.” The Mentor of the program said, “Would definitely recommend it. Not only a good program for the students but I think I learned a lot as well!”
These results represent the statistics taken from the beginning and end of the program. Clearly, our ladies have benefited from this experience and are now showing the confidence in themselves. You Go Girls!
